All about the New Orleans Saints

In order for the New Orleans Saints to win the Superbowl they have to play their BEYOND best football, meaning they have to mastermind a flawless game-plan that no 2-teams COMBINED could beat them. During their next two regular season games a new awaking should commence, but when playoffs begin there are no cushions of losing a few games and remaining on top, it has to transcend it into LIGHT'S OUT football, ADJUSTING to ANY scenario even if down 10 points in the Superbowl to any team, winning by all means. They are only two options "WIN OR WIN". They have to play confident football like they played in the big game SB44. Every game must be played like a Superbowl game.

It's a chance New Orleans can clinch a first round bye with some help, but if not they control their fate, they have "the next BIG thing" a home field playoff game as of now. It could be worst by playing on the road, or even the 4th last scenario missing the playoffs, they'll take the 2nd option. They're just three players remaining from Superbowl 44 - Drew Brees, Thomas Morstead, and Zack Strief who's on IR. So the majority of the Saints are a group of young athletes ready to PLAY, most guys could probably play two games a week, look at basketball. The NBA is a different level of a physical sport, but it's a consistent level of extreme playing which could hinder the body in recovery for the next game, and in the NBA players play sometimes 3-4 times a week. So the youthful group that represents the Saints are READY to go. A bye week would be magnificent but New Orleans can't rely on others fate, so an extra game played could be a grandeur than expected. It would be a momentum booster that FIRES a freight train engine. (Picture a Freight Train/Saints at one end of thrusting at full speed down long a (loonnngggg) track and the other train-team stagnant at the other end. With a weeks worth of speed driven 100% crashing momentum the Freight locomotive will engage a weaker inconsistent train only crawling out the hub, SMASH the Saints CRUSH any weaker train).

At this crucial time of football with only two weeks remaining, it's critical to finish games on their own terms, not by any hopes or wishes of relying on the mercy of other teams winning or losing. They need to put teams away early by compounding points. Yes it would be excellent to have a team down 24-7 at half-time, like 4-5 years ago on SNF the Saints had the Cowboys crippled before the half, broken morale and all. New Orleans has the team built this year to WIN the Superbowl not just to go deep in the playoffs. Like at the beginning of the season everyone's talking about their team expecting to go deep in the playoffs (Minnesota, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Carolina, Dallas, Seattle, Green Bay, Detroit, San Francisco, and NY) all have HOPES.

(Only mentioned Atlanta first because of their superbowl appearance clout, then the current three NFC ranked teams, which two teams beat the Saints)

The Atlanta Falcons were tagged with a favorable percent to make it to the Superbowl because of their previous appearance. They were expected to continue as an explosive unit, to go deep only, but returning to the Superbowl isn't so likely with a below 10% occurrence ratio. Losing Kyle Shanahan might have taken a toll missing his attributes he invested. Even though New Orleans is ahead of Atlanta and should of won last meeting in week 14, the truth is the Falcons beat them, so the Saints cannot take Atlanta lightly.

#1 The Vikings had a tag-value of 50/50 on how their season would play out, and they've exceeded expectations by winning 8 games straight before losing to the Panthers, but mainly they defeated the Saints in week 1. The Vikings are playing great football as a team, Case Keenum proved his case to the LA Rams that he is the read deal and they shouldn't have overlooked him, which he got the last laugh. Not sure who's the "comeback player of the year" prospects are but Keenum has done well.

The Saints lost to the Vikings when Sam Bradford was at the helm. Bradford is a very good QB and has been for a while, he's a tough poised player that doesn't crack under any pressure scenarios. Before week1 my educated guess was the Saints were going to run the tables on the Vikings, didn't happen, Minnesota keyed in on Adrian Peterson after his first and only longest run of 9 yards to start the game. Then they shut the easy-to-guess Saints offense out, having Peterson in the mix was a simple assignment for Minnesota, every single time he entered the game they ran an all-out stop AP. For a team attempting to utilize 3 RB's could be detrimental at times, why because it's easy to read the next play. That's what ruined Pierre Thomas's play, by too many in-and-outs (and Sean Payton's ego) instead of leaving the RB's in for a few plays (3-4) at a time incorporating more deception, Drew Brees and linemen are in every play so these athletic professionals can handle a short stint at a time, rest when you score!

#2 The Rams have a great team as well, good enough to beat the Saints. No one would have ever expected Los Angeles to be playing at this level their at, concluding from a wild roller coaster ride last year. The Rams success is stemmed from a one-two combo between team Captain - Jared Goff and offensive minded Sean McVay. McVay's coaching attributes include a high powered driven offense that's keeps defenses playing the guessing-game the entire 60 minutes. Living in Los Angeles I've gotten in inside scoop on MaVay's ways, he spends 95% of the time with the quarterbacks during practice, instilling his play designs into his core groups. The offensive RB/WR tag along and take heed on every step so the entire group is aware to every technical detail on dozens of plays linking to hundreds more off of simple play calls with certain keywords they use. Somehow MaVay incorporates an easy to remember tactic all players seem learn and execute, that's the reason for their success, MaVay implodes the perfect, timely play and Goff executes it precisely, that's why Goff went #1 in last year draft, he's a great QB for a reason.

#3 The Eagles have a tough break losing their starting QB - Carson Wentz, but Nick Foles has his team back from 4 years ago. Foles did quite well in week 14 beating Arizona and looks to carry his Eagles as the top team by record, but he's no Wentz. What Wentz posses is a talent that's rare in NFL football, he solely reminds me of Peyton Manning, with his stature and play calling ability by utilizing his audible system, Wentz is a very intelligent quarterback that I'm sure in time he'll be crowned a Superbowl champ. Not sure if Foles can keep the Eagles afloat at the level (10/10) Wentz was playing, we'll see during his next campaign against the Dallas at home.
